CHORLEY COUNCILS GRASS VERGES

Post by Eddie Langrish » Sat May 23, 2020 5:37 am

Hi All,
The below was on face book yesterday, Please can I ask everyone to send an email to Steve Holgate, he is well into his wildlife. and should you wish to, send an email Chorley Council in as well. contact@chorley.gov.uk My thoughts are that Chorley Councils cutting of verges has been vastly overcut, ruining habitat that is so desperately needed. Thank you

Chorley are contracted to cut verges by Lancashire County Council and they instructed the council to cut the 1metre next to the highway only, except at junctions or roundabouts. This is a vast improvement from previous where everything was cut. If anyone thinks the council are cutting more than the LCC contract requires of them please let me or Cllr Mark Clifford know. Preferably by email. steve.holgate@lancashire.gov.uk or mark.clifford@chorley.gov.uk
