Common Bank Lodge and surrounds

Post by ianball » Thu Mar 26, 2020 12:00 pm

Another frustrating LSW near miss this morning. Very small black and white bird seen undulating between trees in Copperworks Wood behind Neville's house. Seen briefly in tree by Simon showing clean white underparts. Despite extensive search no further sign. Pair of Ravens noisily overhead, young Cormorant on the lodge, and Grey Wagtail by the dam different from y'day.

Forgot to add - Sand Martin (93) flew through north early on.

Sand Martin takes me to 93 for the year.

Had a good look round at lunchtime, no sign of LSW or the more regular GSW - chiffchaff, goldcrest pair and a brimstone among the woodland usuals.
