Anglezarke moors

Post by Neville Root » Fri Sep 13, 2019 9:32 pm

5.00-7.45pm: circular walk in the evening sunshine up Dean Black Brook over the moors to Round Loaf and back to Anglezarke Reservoir, but not a great deal of animal life. Several raven, juvenile kestrel, red grouse (2), 4 stonechat (incl 2 juveniles), willow warbler, meadow pipit (30+). Cormorant, mallard and GC grebe on the reservoir. Roe deer, red admiral & large white butterfly and undiscernable dragonflies on the moors.
