Limbering up for upcoming Garden BioBlitz in three weeks -watch out for info.

Starling -28 the maximum,nearly all fledglings; 3 goldfinch including one fledgling; two bullfinch (m,f); greenfinch; two GSW (m,f);magpie; carrion crow; jackdaw; blue tit feeding nestlings; great tit ditto; wren; song thrush -at least one male singing; blackbird 3; dunnock;robin;collared dove; woodpigeon -four including fledgling; house sparrows -up to 8 including 2/3 fledglings. Chiffchaff, willow warbler -in nearby cutting -both never noted before with such regularity.

Insects -6 and 12 spot ladybird; bumblebees in order of numbers -tree, common carder; red tailed (really come in big numbers last fortnight); early; buff tailed plus red mason bees in good numbers; tawny mining bee. Nests of tree and early bumblebees.

Mammals-mole, grey squirrel, brown rat

Flowering (wild)plants -wood avens, water avens, red and white clover, yellow rattle,ragged robin,white dead nettle, stinging nettle,bird's foot trefoil, comfrey, cow parsley
