Re: Eyes Lane
I was there late morning and, as John says, the extensive floods on the Bretherton side just held a dozen Shelduck.
The river contained Canada Goose c60, Greylag Goose 2, Mallard c40, Moorhen 4, Oystercatcher 2.
The Sollom side fields contained Whooper Swan 30, Shelduck 20, Lapwing 75, BH Gull 10, Fieldfare c60, Redwing 2, Skylark 2. However, try as I might I couldn't find any Golden Plover, though I made no attempt to use a scope in the wind.
Generally, Kestrel 2 including Jessy, Buzzard 2, Starling12, Meadow Pipit 12
