Armchair birding in the USA

Post by Leonard Poxon »

If anyone wants to do some more exotic bird watching from your armchair! I can recommend the following website:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrXOxujiF9k

It is a webcam posted 24hrs on you tube of a backyard bird feeder set up from Akron Ohio.

Over the last 2 weeks I have recorded 17 species visiting the site including 3 Woodpecker species and the European House Sparrow.

We need one of these in Chorley !! It’s great fun.

Only 9 for me so far being:

Mourning Dove
Hairy Woodpecker
Blue Jay
Northern Cardinal
Red winged Blackbird
Black Capped Chickadee
American Goldfinch
House Finch
House Sparrow

And a possible White Crowned Sparrow
