Great to see but distant Male and Female Marsh Harriers circling and tumbling together on Finney Lane. 1 Sparrowhawk flew through. 2 Kestrels. 1 Buzzard. Moorhen with five chicks. House and Tree Sparrows. Corvids. Magpies. Woodpigeons. Collared Doves. Several Mistle Thrush. 1 Jay. 2 Pied Wagtails. Lots of Blue Tits, Greenfinch, Linnet and Goldfinch. 1 Yellowhammer. 1 Corn Bunting. 1 Robin. 1 Female Wheatear. Several Meadow Pipits. 3 Curlew. 2 Waders flew into the scrub short pointed wings. Lots of Gulls. 2 Common Darters. Several Red Admirals and Painted Ladies. Lots of Small Whites. Lots of Swallows on the wires going into Croston. Also a Weasel ran across the road on Runshaw Lane.

Nice shots Peter, especially the Corn Bunting. There does not seem to be many about on the mosses this year.

Thanks Len. Forgot to mention a Peregrine Falcon hunting near Finney Lane.
