12.30-1.30pm - buzzard, whimbrel (41,three fields down beyond the railway bridge), grey partridge (heard), loads of BH gulls over the reserve, jay, swift, swallow (2), skylark, tree sparrow (2), 2 garden warblers having a sing off, blackcap, willow warbler, chiffchaff (2), common whitethroat (5), yellowhammer (heard).

Lepidoptera: peacock, orange-tip, speckled wood

Swift takes Chorley species total for the year to 123.
