Firecrest WLD

Post by peter rowlands »

Took a long time to find the very mobile Firecrest among the many mobile Goldcrests at Walton-le-Dale this morning. Brilliant little bird. Also seen. Dunnocks, Robins, Meadow Pipits, 2 Chiffchaffs, Blackbirds, Wrens. Fieldfare, Grey Wagtail, Lots of Pied Wagtails, Sparrowhawk, Wood Pigeons, Stock Doves. Corvids and several Goosanders on the River Darwen.

Cracking job Peter, it was a cold day but well worth the effort.
