White Letter Hairstreak

One fresh looking WLH in the garden today (Euxton). Feeding on oregano.

Also found 1 dead Pygmy Shrew (had another about 10 days ago in a mousetrap in the loft - sorry shrew)

Another White Letter Hairstreak in the garden this afternoon. That is the first time we have had them on separate days. I think it is probably a different individual as its tails are completely intact and they usually get knock off pretty quickly. It was feeding on oregano again. Seems to be its preferred flower.

Also Comma, Small Skipper, Small Tortoiseshell and Large White.
