Belmont over to Rivington

Post by ianball »

Four adult Mediterranean Gulls amongst the Black Headed on the island. Curlew, Oystercatcher and Lapwing also around the reservoir. Brief stop off at Hordern Stoops after a Stoat ran across the road with a large kill. Red Grouse called and seen as well as Curlew, Meadow Pipit and possibly another Ouzel distantly. Rivington reservoirs held single Greylag on both upper and lower - must have fallen out! Having not counted the two by the bridge on Eyes Lane that kept joining the feral white geese this was a long overdue year tick.

Med Gull, Red Grouse and Greylag Goose take me to 99.

I have been known to swing the willow in the past. Not as good as my almost namesake though :D
