Took a pic of this heavily cropped bird flying low over an Euxton field the other day going from left to right. Probably a common bird. Any ideas!

I'll hazard a guess,could it be a JAY.

Another poor shot this one with its wings up. It was a very plain bird apart from a distinct white underpart & it looked to have a dark head. It had a narrow body with quite broard wings. It was somewhat smaller than a Heron & larger than a Jay & Lapwing. Its was flying fast from left to right.
