The society is committed to helping with survey work for the planned Atlas of Dragonflies in Lancashire.

To further this aim we need YOUR help!

1 We need members willing to help with survey work.
2 We need knowledge of good odonata sites in the Chorley area - we all know Cuerden and Birkakcre, but is there a pond or a ditch near where you walk which holds dragonflies in the summer? Tell us about it.
3 Even if you cannot commit to helping with the survey work, please post all odonata records - even if only the common species - on the Recent Sightings page. Please include OS ref or at least specific site name.

A place near my house : PR25 5rn, has a pond near it and I have counted 2 brown hawkers on it. hope this helps the survey
