A couple of surprises today the first being a Nuthatch in my garden the first I've ever seen here in 20 years! The second was a Buzzard which was flying across a field in front of me which suddenly swooped down to a pond resulting in a Green Sandpiper flying out and away.
Unusually no Snipe were seen in the drizzly rain in fact not many other birds seen at all apart from 1 Pied Wag, 2 Jays, 4 Magpies, 1 Pheasant, 3 Mallard, 1 Moorhen, 5 Blackbirds and a small mixed tit flock with Gt.Tits, Blue Tits and Long Tail Tits.
