Croston/mawdesley moss .

More swans along meadow lane on the rape fields , had a walk along the douglas 30 lapwing , 40 teal , 10 mallard , 1 cormorant , plenty of fieldfare , found a single mute swan on loch meadow sadly stood next to a dead swan ( checked the bird out but had no rings ) went over the railway onto the mawdesley side were i saw a good flock of around 70 skylark on the stubble , several buzzard sightings and kestrel , willow tit seen and heard , also heard bullfinch , 2 gs pecker , plus all the usuals near to the bird table , kingfisher and little grebe on the drainage ditches ,

Forgot to mention a flock of around 10 corn buntings which flew over from rufford to croston finney also a male stonechat on the fence posts on finney lane .
