Kingfisher at YVP

Noticed today that somebody has put a "perch" for the kingfisher to sit on in the channel where it usually sits.
We also noticed that the branches near the wall where it normally fishes from appear to have been removed.
If this has been done to get pictures of the kingfisher, then please can we remember to put the welfare of the bird first.
If the weather turns colder and the kingfisher can't fish properly it WILL die. No photo is worth that!
