Winter hill ( am) , very quiet went in hope of a snow bunting but only managed 3 kestrel , several crows , 1 fem stonechat in the main compound , 1 meadow pipit , found several pellets maybe a short eared owl in the area .
Croston/ mawdesley moss (pm) , 2/3 of buzzard and kestrels , good numbers of skylark on the stubble fields again , good numbers of finches and buntings in the double hedgerow ( still can,t manage a brambling ) , tree sparrows , reed bunting and chaffinch along with at least 4 blue tits 1 willow tit all at the feeding station , the area were the wheat had been tipped had attracted crows pheasant and a buzzard ( watching for mice and rats ) the swans were present at loch meadow again 8 mute ( 3 juv) , 25 whooper ( 11 juv) .
Twin lakes , a great selection of waterfowl , a min of 28 tufted ( record for me ) , 4 gadwall , 1 fem goldeneye , 1 male wigeon , 1 male shoveler , small numbers of canada geese , 2 juv mute swan , 2 gc grebe , 2 little grebe , small flock of bh gull with at least 1 common gull , coot numbers down and a few moorhen , flock of lt tit with at least 1 goldcrest in the sewage works .
Out and about .

Also good numbers of Redwing with well over 100 Fieldfare, Blackbirds, finches & a Song Thrush along one hedgerow on Croston Moss this afternoon.
