Had a couple of hours walking round Rivington.Hoping for Bramblings. Saw a lg flock of Chaffinch nr.top barn car park .they flew off before we got a good look so dont know if there were Bramblings among them.Other birds seen were a large flock of Fieldfare flying over.Coal Tits. Blue Tits. Gt.Tits. Robins. Wren. few Nuthatch. Jay. Woodpigeons. Magpies. Kestrel. C.Crows. Grey Heron. And 1Grey Squirrel.

For the record there appears to have been a big arrival of Fieldfare over the last couple of days, with lesser numbers of redwing. Can you put a number on your flock, Nora?

It wasnt a massive flock id say about 40 Fieldfare.
