Post by gary lilley »

Good numbers of swallows and martins passing through , meadow pipits everywhere , 7 wheatear , 3 goldcrest , 2 kestrel , several pied wagtail feeding among the sheep , plenty of crows and magpies , tit flock, 1 weasel , 1 grey squirrel , it maybe worth doing a visual migration count shortly , maybe two dates one for the summer migrants leaving and one for the winter visitors arriving anybody interested ?

And apparently Andy Makin and Simon Warford saw a juvenile Red Kite on the Lancs side on Saturday morning, during a vismig watch.
