Old Rachel's, Hempshaws, Sam Pasture, Standing Stones Hill

Cuckoo, wheatear (2+), stonechat (3+), Lapwings (loads!), skylark, pheasant, curlew, heron, meadow pipit, bh gulls, chaffinch, pied wagtail (quite a few of them). Plus an annoying good sighting of a brown bird with a white chest and a trill call (three notes in succession) that probably was nothing special but it wound me up that I couldn't ID it!

Might suggest Mark that you were fortunate and that your brown bird with white chest was a Ring Ouzel - good record!

I wish it was, Brian, but I've just had a look at the ID and I don't think it was... probably just a mippit in disguise I'm happy enough with the wheatear which always seem to pop up on the old farm ruins and they let you get close enough to not need bins!
