As i arrived i spotted a single duck which looked a bit different ( possible shoveler ) which was looking to land on one of the drainage ditches , a single little grebe was on the douglas , several hundred pinkfoot in the area , flushed a kingfisher off one of the drainage ditches , 1 buzzard , lots of skylarks on the stubble with plenty of reed buntings on the edges of the fields , 2 corn bunting , blackbird , mistle and song thrush , flushed to coveys of red legged partridge ( 3 birds in each) , plenty of finches on the 2 set aside fields ( lots of goldfinch and linnet ) 4 yellowhammer , plenty of tree sparrow , 50 lapwing nearby , 20 stock dove on croston side , 2 hare , 2 grey squirrel and a stoat .
