Jack Snipe at last!

Post by gary lilley »

Finally caught up with the elusive jack snipe at bretherton eyes this morning the bird was practically in the same spot were i have flushed them before in past years , the bird got up close to me and actually hovered in the gale force wind giving me great views before dropping down nearby i also fushed 6 common snipe , 2 reed bunting , 1 wren and several pheasant , 6 cormorant flew over , flushed 5 yellowhammer and 1 skylark off a stubble field , lots of herring gulls and bh gulls with the corvids on a manured field .
Jack snipe breaks my year list record of 133 species up to 134 for my chorley year list :D .
