Year list.
Went in hope of a jack snipe this morning trying to equal last years total of 133 species but could only manage a single common snipe , i,m confident i will find one before the end of the year and hopefully will beat my record with the yarrow valley water rail , snow bunting and lesser spotted woodpecker are also potential new sightings for the year , my main aim is to at least equal last years total , fingers crossed !

Re: Year list.
Good luck on that Gary. I am on 125, which is already 5 better than last year's total, but a long way short of yours.

Good Luck with your year list Gary, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't beat last years total there's plenty of time for a few rarities yet. I'm on about 95 though nearly all my birds have been seen in Eccleston apart from a few on Croston Moss.

Re: Year list.
I've just had a look at my Chorley list and my total so far is 98 with jack snipe on 7/11 whooper on 15/10 and hobby on 14/9th so I might just make 100 by the years end. 6 snipe by the lily pond this morning but not much else in the drizzly rain

OK, John. I've corrected your score.
