Slow worm
We have had a report of a slow worm in the Cuerden area. I will continue to investigate

That is a great record if true (and not a domestic release/escape).
Amphibian and Reptile Group of South Lancashire did a survey, including Slow-worms a few years ago - don't know what their results were but they said Slow worms were occasionally found in Lancashire (I've never seen one)
I do know they are regularly recorded on Risley Moss and a few places on Chat Moss - would be great to have a record around here but I have my doubts as to its origins?
