I agree, what a great site. I have just entered our sighting of a brown hare we saw today from the back of our motorbike on Doles Lane between Bretherton and Much Hoole. The bike startled the hare which was just changing fields but ran off when we roared by on our Bonny Bonneville. We seem to make a habit of having hare races when we are out on the bike

Hare records
Just catching up on the forum after being away for a few days. Thank you all for sending in your records of Hares. Please continue to send your records to that website as well as 'posting' your records on this forum. As the society's mammal recorder, I do try to co-ordinate and send in the annual list of records of all mammals passed on to the society as well as using the information for the society's annual report but this website is new to me and not where the records are usually sent. In any case, the records are much better sent in directly by the actual recorder who can complete all the relevant details. Thanks also to David for drawing this website to our attention.
