Species recorded in Chorley area in 2016:-

Today's new birds - Wigeon, Teal, Pintail, Shoveler, Snipe, Common Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Skylark, Linnet, Yellowhammer and Reed Bunting - take us to 77 for the year.

Have you included the over-wintering Blackcap I posted on 7th at Croston Park?
Seen again today in the cottage gardens on Grape Lane backing onto Croft Field with a mixed flock of Tits and a Goldcrest.

Sorry, Paul. I've overlooked Blackcap, probably because I thought it was already on the list, having had one in my own garden recently, but unfortunately at the end of last year. Blackcap takes us to 86.

Neil, I got the raven at Whittle this morning. Couldn't see any up at Wheelton/Brinscall.
