The National Wildlife Crime Unit's funding is currently being 'reviewed' and it faces possible cuts or closure.
During its relatively short existence the National Wildlife Crime Unit has made a huge contribution to fighting wildlife crime throughout the country. Including leading action against the persecution of Hen Harriers and other birds of prey, prosecuting egg-collectors, and combatting illegal trading in the import of internationally threatened species.
Its loss would be a serious setback for nature conservation.

Re: National Wildlife Crime Unit
Apparently the National Wildlife Crime Unit has now received funding for the next 4 years, so there's no need to sign this petition any longer.
