Great afternoon up White Coppice all the usual bitd but a family of Redstarts and a Male Whinchat in the ferns by the goit really male it special... Also 2 young birds following the chat around im sure the were juv. whinchats but will poat pics later to confirm...

Only my second ever and my first local whinchat... Very happy

also 2 little owls and spotted fly this evening and young tawnwy owl calling down the exit road.

Yes, well spotted Lee. Amazingly, it's our first and only Whinchat record of the year so far.
