Birds seen/heard: Cuckoo on several occasions - each time going the opposite direction to me, at one point sat on a fence post on Stronstey Bank with a Meadow Pipit less than 2m away, the Meadow Pipit eventually chased the Cuckoo away. Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Linnet, Lesser Redpoll, Pied Wagtail, Grey Wagtail, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Jay, Woodpigeon, Nuthatch heard, Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Grasshopper Warbler heard briefly, Sedge Warbler very active and vociferous, Reed Bunting heard, Redstart heard, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Mistle Thrush, Wren, Robin, Dunnock, Mallard, GC Grebe, White Duck, Heron, Swallow and BH Gull. No sign of Grasshopper Warbler or Spotted Flycatcher.

Lepidoptera: Green Veined White Butterfly.
