Anglezarke Field Trip

Post by Neil Southworth »

A miserable evening weather wise, but with just one heavy shower. The birds were quieter than they might otherwise have been, but we did have a few short bursts of Wood Warbler. The other main highlight was Barn Owl for those who waited. Full sightings:-
Mallard, Tufted Duck, Pheasant, Oystercatcher 2, Curlew, BH Gull, Common Tern 2 (Keith), Woodpigeon, Tawny Owl chick (John), Barn Owl, Cuckoo (Peter), GS Pecker, Swallow, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Robin, Wren, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Wood Warbler, Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Chaffinch, Goldfinch
and 100's of Scarce / Mottled Umber Moth caterpillars

Barn Owl takes Nora and myself to 118

Thanks Peter. I think I was getting Eddie excited! I've edited the post.
