Bats

Post by Chris »

I'm itching to try out my shiny new bat detector although I imagine its a bit too early yet?

YVP is in my "Where to watch mammals in Britain" guide! It mentions a good spot being a bridge over a stream at the South end of Big Lodge. Can't place this myself - is this likely to be the footbridge over the Yarrow?

Plenty of bats - Pips - out and about around our house - so with this warm weather you should be ok to try out your new toy!

It's not a toy! It is a highly sensitive ultrasound detection device.

Should be fun though!

Another good place used to be the pond/lake/lodge next to Astley Hall
