Anglezarke Reservoir & Healey Nab (22/3/12)

Full circuit of the reservoir (inc High Bullough) and a detour around Healey Nab this morning produced the following:

1 Raven
2 Buzzards
6 Oystercatchers
1 Curlew
(heard, but unseen Redshank)
1 Goosander (f)
2 Tree Sparrows (in hedge at Warings Farm, Back Lane)
2 Goldeneye (pair on HB)
17 Lapwings
2 Great Crested Grebes
Kestrels, Meadow Pipits, Pied Wagtails, Coal Tits, Long-tailed Tits (collecting nesting material), Nuthatches etc..

Chorley 2012: 34 :D

34 species? Is that all? Did you have your eyes closed, Ian? What about the birds you must have seen at Adlington Reservoir this year? :lol:

:lol: Oh aye.......forgot about those, though that is a result of me forgetting that not all of the site is in Wigan :oops:. Plus there are the Winter Hill birds as well, come to think about it :P . I`ll have a recount ! :wink:
