Croston/mawdesley moss .

Covered a large area this afternoon , pair of grey partridge , 1 red legged , 10 shellduck , 8 canada geese , 5 teal , 4 mallard , 2 goosander , 12 oystercatcher , 3 redshank , 2 mute swan , plenty of lapwing , 100 linnet , 20 chaffinch , highlight of the afternoon was a large flock of corn buntings ( around 100 birds ) the birds were flying at speed from the direction of croston finney ( there was a lot of farming work going on in the area ) also 10 yellowhammer , a pied wagtail was feeding on floating debris on the douglas :lol: , 3 buzzard , 1 kestrel , found what looked like a peregrine kill the victim looked like a partridge , had a good view of a mink swimming along one of the ditches, 1 woodcock near the railway , 4 rabbits , 2 se owls on the rufford side .
