Short-tailed Tits!

Post by Brian Derbyshire »

No, not a new species but 2 of our local flock of LTTs have very short tails, one has about half a tail and the other hardly any tail at all - in fact looks like a ball of fluff! Wonder what happened to them? Lost tails in cat attack - bit like lizards loosing tails as a defense?

FLYING TADPOLES[BOUT TAILS]

Post by andy leach »

your lottis could have lost their tails through a cat attack but its just possible that it may be a delayed moult as all lottis go through a complete tail moult usually august to end of september hope that helps solve the question of tailless tadpoles
