Douglas, 17 oystercatcher , 4 redshank ( flying together) , 7 shellduck , 2 canada geese , 1 greylag goose , several teal and mallard , 1 grey wagtail , heard a willow tit calling near the railway line ( considerable distance from the feeding station) , 2 buzzard , 2 kestrel , skylark , yellowhammer , reed bunting and corn bunting all singing , several pairs of lapwing displaying , 10 shellduck were on the mawdesley side , a male yellowhammer was at the feeding station , 100+ w/pigeon , several pairs of mallard on the ditches .
the greylag goose brings my chorley year list up to 91 species .
