Had a walk along the douglas , a single short eared owl was on the bank ( mawdesley side) it then flew and hunted the first field still on the mawdesley side , 10 teal , 2 canada geese , 20 oystercatcher , 2 redshank , 1 curlew flew over , 2 lapwing , 1 kestrel , 1 goldcrest , heard yellowhammer and reed bunting
singing ,1 moorhen , 1 grey wagtail , several magpie going to roost , 1 hare , 4 rabbit , a great way to end a day .

Se owl.
The single short eared owl was on the same fence post near the the douglas this evening , also 6 oystercatcher , 2 buzzard , pair of partridge , yellowhammers singing , 1 se owl hunting on rufford side as well .
