Croston/mawdesley moss .

Had a quick visit after visiting mere sands , 3 buzzard , 1 kestrel , 1 peregrine , 1 merlin , 3 shellduck , pair of grey partridge , flock of 20 corn bunting ( biggest one this winter) , handfull of meadow pipit , skylark were singing .

Hi Gary, got some great sightings of the Bittern at MS were you lucky?

For me it was a sighting of a lifetime but the birds have been there for at least a month and seem to be happy feeding out of cover .

In the good ol' days you had to visit Leighton Moss to see Bittern, now they are virtually on the doorstep.
