Croston/mawdesley moss waders return.

8 oystercatchers and a single redshank were the highlights this afternoon both seen on the douglas also at least 5 buzzard ( maybe more) , 3 kestrel , 1 peregrine flying with prey ( checked under a nearby pylon were i found remains of a lapwing) , 100 lapwing , even more corvids , several small flocks of fieldfare passing through , on the way home i spotted a wader type bird flying along a ditch just off blackmoor road mawdesley .
Chorley year list 88 species.

Hi Dave, Ring-tail harrier is an informal term for juvenile and female hen harriers.
