Lone peregrine on north facing side of chimney at 9pm tonight, probably one of last years youngsters from the the church. I aim to clarify this with my scope on my next visit.

Well spotted, Ivan - I've haven't seen a peregrine on the chimney for many weeks.

Cheers Bryan, I've been informed the Chorley adults have moved elsewhere which would give this youngster the opportunity to set up territory in the town centre. Also, I don't know if your aware peregrine are doing very well in the borough and sightly beyond at this time and territorys are overlapping. Of course there will be skirmishes between some birds but with less severity than some remote areas where food supply is scarce. Long may these successes continue for this spectacular bird.

Regards Ivan.
