Eccleston and mawdesley moss.

Eccleston 24/12/11, checked out the pond on tinklers lane fields which has produced up to 4 jack snipe in the past and it produced again with 10 common snipe and 2 jack snipe ( both birds hard to flush) 1 woodcock in croston big wood ( near corn mill) , i spoke to someone who had seen 2 marsh harriers over mawdesley moss on the same day.
Mawdesley moss 26/12/11,8.00am, a single barn owl was hunting the same field that the short eared owl was in on friday the barn owl was still knocking about 0ver an hour later , also 2 raven , flock of around 10 pinkfoot landed on the stubble before taking up again , 2 buzzard , 3 kestrel , 2 bullfinch , double figures yellowhammers.
