SHORT EARED OWL MAWDESLEY MOSS!

Flushed a single short eared owl this afternoon ( 2.00pm) in the rough field near the railway line best access from rufford station, ive no doubt the bird will be hunting the field later on today , other birds:- 2 buzzard , 1 peregrine , 1 fem stonechat , 30+ tree sparrow , 1 willow tit , 2 bullfinch , hundreds of w/pigeon and corvids , 1 snipe , 1 heron , 30 linnet , 1 corn bunting , several reed bunting/yellowhammer .

Looks like you had a good afternoons birding Gary, I've never seen a shorty in this area, I'm getting fed up of not being able to walk the fields and find my own birds! I think the only bird I'll be seeing over christmas is the turkey!! Have a good one Gary.
