Ricky Hoyle and myself braved the elements this morning, but apart from a fieldfare and half a dozen bullfinch, we saw nothing.
No sign of the snow bunting, we managed to check all the compounds before a blizzard and 5 yards visibility made us beat a hasty retreat.

Hello, my Chorley friends !
The two Snow Buntings were in the next-to-last compound on the track leading away from the "Rocket Shaped" mast (of Black Redstart fame). This is on the left as you approach and pass the mast from Mast Road. The birds were very confiding, and were totally unfazed by passing hikers and joggers..
