1 kestrel on black moor road , as i arrived on the moss the first bird i spotted was a kingfisher flying along one of the drainage ditches ( first one ive seen on the moss) , 6 swans in the distance were probable mute , the double hawthorn held around 10 yellowhammer and smaller numbers of reed bunting ,9 geese flew looking to land (did not sound like pinkfoot) , 1 male bullfinch, several pheasant , flushed a woodcock near the railway , 2 heron , 2 mallard , smaller numbers of corvids in the area , 2 moorhen on the douglas.
croston side :- 100 pinkfoot on grass , 9 whooper swans flew over , feeding station 1 willow tit , 10+ tree sparrow , 5 bullfinch , several blue and great tits, double hawthorn , 20+ yellowhammer , similar numbers of reed bunting and chaffinches ( no brambling) 40 linnet on wires , around 40 skylark on the stubble fields , several pheasant , handfull of meadow pipit , 1 peregrine ( large bird , fem) on the top of one of the pylons , then the snow arrived!
