The pair of Mute Swans is looking settled, although a member of the public has asked the council to do something about them, because it's not their home!
At least one Little Grebe is still on the lake. Raucous Jays were scattered around the Park, and a GS Pecker was also calling continuously.

Not their home? Maybe it soon will be. At the Astley Park Advisory Committee it was mentioned that plans have been agreed to position a raft (island) for them or any other water fowl that chose to use it.
