AM - Worthington Lakes - Adlington Reservoir: 2 pairs of Mandarin Duck, 8 Mallard, 2 Coot, 1 Great Crested Grebe, BH Gulls overhead, Coal Tit and heard Nuthach.

On the rest of the Lakes (GMC area), plenty of Mallard including some hybrids that were smaller than the normal mallard much paler in colour and had a very different call note, Coot, Waterhen, single Cormorant approx 30 Canada Geese, lots of BH Gulls, Small flock of mixed birds including Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit and a single Goldcrest, Blackbird, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Jay, Rook, Jackdaw and several Grey Squirrel.

PM - Whittle - Moss Lane along Old Canal length: Blackbird, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Flock of Rooks, Jackdaws, Magpie, Mallard, Waterhen, House Sparrows, Robin, BH Gulls and Rabbits. No Redwing or Fieldfare.

PM - Heapey - from car park at No. 1 reservoir along Higher House Lane, across footpath to Heapey No. 3 reservoir and back to car park: Rabbit and Roe Deer in fields adjacent H.H.Lane, 2 Raven, Carrion Crow, Rook, Jackdaw, Magpie, Jay, Blackbird, Robin, Wren, House Sparrow, Mallard, Coot and 10 Tufted Duck (7m inc 1 immature, 3f) & 2 White Ducks on No. 3 reservoir; Feral Geese, Mallard, Coot & Waterhen on No. 2 reservoir; coot & Mallard on No. 1 reservoir, a single Fielfare seen near No. 1 reservoir.

There was a female Mandarin at YVP a few years ago, on and off, but I haven't seen any males there in the last few years.
