2 buzzard, 2 kestrel, 1 peregrine on a pylon, 200+ pinkfoot ( several flocks) 9 whooper swans(4,5) flew over croston finney heading towards bretherton , 100+ linnet feeding on the stubble field, had a walk along the double hawthorn hedge which proved to be productive ,i first spotted a stoat with a small rodent in its mouth , heard several bullfinch , chaffinch an yellowhammer , 1 song thrush , 1 pheasant but the highlight was a roosting BARN OWL i had actually walked past the bird before it flew out , on the way back i spotted a little owl in its favourite tree, driving home i spotted a flock of around 50 bhgulls near the sewage works and a flock of 20+ stock dove over syd brook lane ( no doubt the same birds i spotted on the moss yestreday).
