When I drove past the lodge yesterday, I was surprised by the number of ducks on the water so slowed down to see if there was anything other than Mallard. I quickly realised that the objects on the water were not wildfowl but debris of some kind.
After going to Anglezarke this morning, I called in to have a look. A rough count was 12 plastic bottles, two lumps of polystyrene and several coke cans!
Happily, there was wildlife present including 2 Little Grebe, 3 Moorhen, 16 Mallard, Kingfisher and Grey Wagtail. Nuthatch and GS Pecker were in the woodland plus at least 4 Grey Squirrel.
