Yesterday I went in search of the hen harier seen recently in the Croston Moss area, but did'nt see it or anything of note except sady, a dead Barn Owl found in a field at the end of Spa Well Lane, 347398,416209.
I also saw a dead fox nearer to the same track, this was also probably shot.
Perhaps people in the area might like to keep an eye out for the imbeciles who go there in search of things to kill. Just a thought.

you say the fox was 'also' shot, are you surgesting the owl was? quite a serious incident if it was and in no way similar to fox control and quite unfair to local gamekeepers to surgest any link.
