Paid a visit to Croston Finney this morning but didn't really get past the first field. It was being ploughed by the farmer and this was attracting large numbers of larks, pipits, wagtails, starlings and finches, although the highlight was a single Wheatear, possibly a Greenland bird. Sightings:-
Cormorant, Kestrel, Lapwing 8, Herring Gull 3, Skylark 50+, Meadow Pipit 50+, Pied Wagtail 20, Wheatear, Starling 300+, Crow 4, Linnet 100+, Goldfinch 4, Chaffinch 2, Reed Bunting
Insects:- Red Admiral 20, Small Tortoiseshell 4
