Plenty of meadow pipit passing through and a few swallow , this area could be as good as the horwich moors ( very similar habitat ) the area is a dirt track opposite the church on bury lane , the track takes you across the higher ground opposite the quarry , the valley it looks down on looks like a natural migration route .
